- Two additional quad-core nodes added of the same configuration as those added in March, 2009. (October 14, 2009)
- Fourteen nodes added, each with two dual-core 2.4 GHz AMD Opteron 2216HE processors. These nodes do not support Infiniband and will be used primarily for single processor jobs. (April 7, 2009)
- Four addition nodes added, each with two quad-core 3.0 GHz Intel Xeon E5450 processors. These nodes are the first Linux nodes to support eight-way jobs. (March 23, 2009)
- Eight additional compute nodes added to the Cluster bringing the total up to 22. These nodes are exactly equivalent to the compute nodes already in place. (July 1, 2008)
- Accounting SU charges on Katana Cluster begin. (February 18, 2008)
